Sourced from a mix of sites in Kallstadt and one vineyard in Bad Dürkheim where the soils here are light and sandy. The grapes were handpicked. destemmed and fermented in stainless stee. The wine is pale. succulent and nervy with terrific cran/cherry fruit. fresh soil notes and very little oak in evidence.

The Pfalz region (also referred to as Palatinate) located in southwestern Germany. has a tradition of winemaking dating back to Roman times. If Koehler-Ruprecht Pinot Noir is anything. it is traditional Pfalz style. It is ripe. it has popping acidity and it has an alluring smoky nose that makes you feel like you are in a forest. A fleshy palate blend with light tannins giving it a rusticity without being rough. This Pinot Noir is a good option to unite both California and Burgundy Pinot Noir drinkers and will teach you that Germany has more to offer than just white wine.

The 2020 vintage has an effusive nose of white peach and honeysuckle leads you into this elegant. mid-weight dry riesling that marries very attractive juiciness to pronounced. chalky character and a positive touch of tannin at the crisp finish. Drink or hold.

A light and fruity pinot noir that does what we expect a Bourgogne rouge to do. that is delight with bright cherry fruit that is married to a supple body and lively but not tart acidity.
